This bible has suffered a fair amount with age. It is (or was) leather bound. The front cover has an embossed metal edging and is detached from the book. The bible is very large and measures 9.5" x 12.75" x 4.5" thick. Inside there are many, many illustrations as well as color plates. The illustrations are fabulous & frameable. The Title Page states "Illustrated with more than Nine Hundred Highly Finished Engravings", The bible was published by Cassell, Petter & Galpin of London, Paris and New York. Published ca1870, J & D Hall signed & dated (1900) inside the front cover.
