Two interesting hardback books with references to our own local history. "Rails in the Shadow of Mt. Shasta" by John R. Signor covers 100 years of railroading along Southern Pacific's Shasta division and is loaded with wonderful photographs. "The Land to Remember" by J. Roy Jones, M.D. covers the history of our area from early explorers in the Klamath Basin, the discovery of gold and all lots of history specific to the Henley Hornbrook area. It also features some great old photographs. Both books are in good condition.
