This antique scoop shovel from Sturd-E-Tools was used to dig out wells, telephone pole holes or other deep holes in the days before modern machinery. Measuring 9'3" in length its scoop is 9.5" wide and 9" deep. There is a 21" long metal tongue that fastens the shovel head to the wood handle. The wood handle has some age related minor cracking but it is still strong. This shovel is quite heavy, an interesting antique tool!
