Antique metal & oak wood steamer trunk with beautiful embossed medallions. This is a sturdy trunk which could be used for storage or decor. The metal edge at bottom is a bit frayed but does not detract at all from the overall beauty of this piece. You can see in the pictures the shot of the bottom indicates the tiny inset wheels that allow the trunk to roll easily for moving. The handles are not intact, however one has been improvised with wire. The buckles are all present and may need some adjustments to get them both to latch. It has a Y & T lock, trunk did not come to us with key . Inside the trunk is an intact hat storage compartment built into the bottom of the lid. The paper is cracked and flaking a bit, but the medallion edging and adorable pictures are intact. One is of a group of chicks, and the other is a girl and her dog. The embossed medallions, shaped bracing and oak ribs all have a perfect patina appropriate for a piece of this age. The trunk measures 32" x 18.5" x 21.5" tall.
