Good to have on hand, vintage USFS Forest Service Fire Shelter, the kind the fire fighters keep on hand when they are fighting wildland fires. Shelter comes in an orange canvas pouch with strap and measures approximately 16" x 4.5" x 5" tall when folded in pouch. It is made of thick reflective material and is designed to be folded around you in the event of a fire. Instructions included. Dated Nov./Dec. 1972 Strap it to your backpack or keep it in the back of your rig just in case.
