Many still remember the never captured outlaw gang notorious for robbing Yreka's Blue Goose. The crimes may not have been solved but an important piece of the puzzle has been found and is now for sale here. Antique double barrel, double action Janssen Sons & Co. 12 gauge shotgun with fine Damascus steel barrels & choke bore. This gun dates back to as early has an 1875 date as well as the candlestick proof mark at the bottom of the barrel. This gun may have been abandoned by the gang due to a large crack in the wood stock near the hammers. The gun makes a nice historic & interesting conversation piece for display but is not suitable for firing and should not be used to rob trains. Sheriff Lopey is a pretty tough guy! The metal has age patina to brown. In addition to the crack the furniture has other age & use dings.
