We are not sure of the age of this lap desk. It is quite old and probably antique. We do know that it is darn cute and quite handy. The medium finished wood desk measures 24.5" x 16" x 10.25" tall. The back and sides have a 1.5" tall edge piece to keep things in place. Overall the desk is in good condition, but does have a crack in the wood on each side about 1.5" in from the front which attests to the age and adds character. The trim piece and leg supports hold the front piece securely in place. Try this out for breakfast in bed or as an extra raised shelf for more storage. Could be very handy for your various electronic components
